Tucked away in a gorgeous quiet spot but a short walk away from all the fun that Henley has to offer. We loved eating outdside in the garden and cosying up in the living room for a film if the weather was poor. SIan has added a lot of lovely touches to the cottage and we were really very comfortable. Our three year old had plenty of toys and games to keep him occupied, and we enjoyed the excellent playgrounds down by the river. An all round great weekend break!
We stayed here on Friday night, to attend the Henley Festival. The cottage was the perfectly located to walk to the festival and everything else of interest is close by. The house itself has loads of character, with plenty of pretty or quirky touches that make it feel like someone's home, rather than just a bland rental. The garden is perfect for summer nights, with BBQ and comfy chairs and table. Good shower and decent pillows for all important kip after partying. would certainly recommend to friends.
I stayed here with my husband and two children for a long weekend. Before even entering th cottage we had a good feeling a it is located on a quiet and really pretty road a stones throw from the centre of Henley. Walk to the river and/or shopping within 5 minutes. The kitchen is light and well-equipped with everything you need and it has a door that leads out to a really pretty garden. Two lovely reception rooms and a small bathroom downstairs are more beautifully cosy and it was a lovely place to settle in for the evening after a day of walking and shopping. A fantastic kids room with lovely bunk beds is beautifully decorated with a few charming retro touches and our kids loved it. There are a fire there two large double rooms with super clean/comfy beds. Owner is helpful but not intrusive and it all works beautifully. I would highly recommend.
