This is a restaurant that has been around a long time, but has changed hands over the years. My hubs and I were looking for something quiet and affordable on a weekday night and had seen this place but never stopped in. So, we decided to try it out. We were very pleasantly surprised. Very nice, quiet (you can hear the person you're with speak), homey but not hokie, cozy bar, nice selection of wines and coctails (nothing elaborate or fancy), and very personable wait staff. As for the food - we thought it very good - tasty, well prepared, nice presentation, and affordable. We will definitely go back and try it again, and I would recommend it if you're looking for a quiet, out of the way place to get a good meal.

We sat at the bar for dinner and ordered the lasagna and salad and the Spanakopita. Both were very good. The bartender was great, very engaging. The house dressings that I tried were the blue cheese and the balsamic vinaigrette, both of which were delicious. Would return in a second.

Here is the thing about The Bridgeway...it's old school. We are bar people and they have a cute little bar. They pour a strong drink at a great value. They have an old school but decent beer selection. The service is A+. It feels a bit as if you are headed back in time, most of the clientele is old as well, but that is really fun. We love the charm of the place and how friendly everyone is. You feel like family within 10 minutes of sitting here. If you haven't given it a try, you should.

This restaurant reminds me of years ago! The food was good, consistent....the wait staff friendly and responsive. The interior dated but comfy. Definitely a family restaurant, not pretentious.

Stopped by here for a late lunch during the weekend and were the only ones in the restaurant. It seemed slightly dated but clean and welcoming. The food was your basic family restaurant fare with a fairly good-sized menu. The food well prepared and the portions were just right. Certainly not a destination restaurant but if you're in the area and hungry its worth stopping into.
