We made a visit to The Bait Shed with some visiting friends from Colorado. We lucked out with glorious weather, and happily drank some local beers while waiting for a table. We were not disappointed - we were seated at the last table on the dock and the view was fantastic. The food was excellent (can't beat the lobster rolls). Kids and grown-ups all enjoyed their meals and we loved the atmosphere. Can't wait for next season!

I have been wanting to try The Bait Shed for a while . but avoided the summer crowds . A friend popped by for an impromptu late lunch and we gave it a try . It was a lovely fall day , warm with no wind . We sat on the pier taking in the view of the Scarborough River enjoying the food and company . We chose steamed clams to start and lobster flat bread . Both were very enjoyable . The clams were fresh and grit free as they usually are from Bailey's . The flatbread was delicious filled with very tender lobster . As they close for the season this week , I will be craving another until next spring ! The service was fine , but the tables could use some updating . Things could be a little cleaner .

Incredible ambiance for casual drink and seafood. The steamers and the peel and eat shrimp were awesome. Sadly, the lobster roll was very disappointing and the reason I went here. Skimpy on the lobster and mostly roll. I would definitely go back but would order something else.

This is simply a gem! Wether you eat in or pick up this place does it as good if not better than anyplace. The evening sun setting is an ideal time although the low tide gives a varied landscape often Erie. But nature in all its forms holds beauty.
This is an ideal place to eat drink and be one in nature. Eat local tastes great. Just get the lobster I suggest the soft shell. And of course local beer.

Great fun... food better than expected, crab flatbread was outstanding as was the triple sliders of shrimp, lobster, and crab!
