There's a reason for the James Beard award! Just a lovely, lovely experience, from the outdoor gardens and landscaping, to the attentive staff, and the glorious food. Attention to detail is first rate.

My mother declared her crab crusted grouper (or Halibut, can't remember) to be one of the best she's ever had. From the salmon terrine amuse, to the special salad, to Chef's grandfather's pork saltimbocca, to the ice cream tastings - it was perfection. Perfect flavors and perfect plating.

I mentioned to the staff that I was bringing my mother and they asked if she would prefer a "quieter" room, and they accommodated our need to delay our reservation by 30 minutes.

If I had to find fault, it would be that the parking lot is crowded and cramped for the number of diners clamoring to eat here. And the four-top adjacent to us was so loud with their conversation and so entitled, that they kept interrupting our server with demands when she was attending to us.

I wish I could eat here regularly. Highly recommend!

This is a lovely restaurant. We had friendly service and did not experience any wait time (had reservations). It was fun to tour the gardens and mingle with the chickens and pigs. The food was fine, but not exceptional. Seemed overpriced, and we are used to NYC prices. If you can't get in to this popular spot, don't despair. There are plenty of alternatives in the area.

Started out fine with a friendly, helpful waiter. Forty-five minutes after we finished our shared appetizer, and an hour after we had arrived--no main courses. The room emptied out around us as it approached 9:00 and the waiter, when called over, said he had seen our dishes being plated. Ten minutes later we asked for our check, and finally the manager came over and explained that 2 big parties slowed service.
We finally were served. Lack of communication and lack of caring was worse than the delayed entrees.

Go here. Budget your trip accordingly, and go. My girlfriends and I traveled from the Midwest to Maine, Primo was worth the anticipation and made for a particularly memorable meal. Playful ingredients, hearty portions, special ambiance. Delighted.

Wow! Chef Kelly does not disappoint. Cod cakes, halibut, profiteroles- every bite more delicious than the last. Front of the house working like clockwork. Food coming out of the kitchen exquisite. Primo is better than ever! You go, girl.
