We typically like to try lots of different restaurants but our meal on Tuesday was so good and the place so funky that we came back the next night. We are "almost" vegetarians, but do fish from time to time. The Genteel Haddock was one of the best meals my husband has ever had. I had the Veggie Medley with tofu and it was delicious. The portions are enormous so you can share or take a doggie bag home. Our servers were both helpful and efficient (Maria and Edna). Decent wine selections by the glass topped off the meal. Many locals say it is the best place in town & we believe them.

This is a wonderfully creative restaurant with fascinating menu options. I need a gluten free diet and they waitstaff and kitchen crew seem well-informed and happy to help one navigate the menu. There is one major problem we have had everytime we have been there -- the portions are much to large. We are in the order what you want, eat what you order school. Wasting good food when so many people are hungry is a shame. I had the Sorta Kefka. The lamb was superbly spiced and the bed of greens had a delicious sauce. The serving was enough for two people (and we are not picky eaters). My wife had the fire-baked mac and cheese. This was also superb, but enough for three people. The serving sizes detract from quality of the food.

My wife visited here 3years ago and since then we have regular blue job salads. So we had to go with the family for me to taste the home of this food. Friendly welcome with colouring sheets for the children. No pressure waiting staff with good skills and knowledge of menu. Burgers, pasta, children sized dishes and house specials - too much choice. Great sized portions. Expect it would be busy in the summer but worth a visit ( or two ).

We've been coming here more frequently, since the dishes are prepared more consistently now! And, wow, is this place great—with its incredibly large and varied menu!

Recently, we had a great hummus appetizer, a salad with terrific tofu added, pizza with pretty much every topping except pineapple (which is not offered here), and penne with fried cauliflower. All have been inexpensive and delicious, with stomach-expanding portions! We often take home leftovers, of course!

The focaccia bread is fresh and wonderful!

The service is always top notch, too!

And, of course, there is the Elvis restroom! (A mini-museum to The King!)

Am always so overwhelmed by the number of choices on Miranda’s menu - and everything is good! - so instead of drilling down into the menu, or simply defaulting to my regular fish tacos, i asked myself “What are you in the mood for?” It was a chilly grey day, and I wasn’t hugely hungry, so the quick and easy answer was soup. I glanced at the soup section and quickly selected the roasted vegetable soup. Well. That soup was delicious! It came steaming hot in a cast iron skillet, with a nice chunk of grilled focaccia, and man, did it ever hit the spot. There’s practically nothing they don’t serve at Cafe Miranda, so you won’t be disappointed. Yum, yum.
