Description: We are a downtown take out truck. We feature the freshest seafood directly from my sons lobster boat! We make everything ourselves and hand pick our lobster and crab. We have awards for our lobster sandwich and also our chowder. We also offer pulled pork and roast turkey salad for sandwiches. We do many soups and chowders always served with our own corny bread. Salads of local greens and veggies that include our own dressings. Homemade baked beans with hot dogs! Daily specials. See you soon.

This tucked-away oasis on Main Street is so much the real Maine lobster/crab place. It's basically a food truck, parked at the back of a shady lot with outside tables and a window where you order - but they bring your order out to your table. The owner/chef is Southern, and his wife is super local, and their blend of regional influences is evident - for example, they serve a to-die-for Low Country cornbread with their uber-Maine/authentic chowders. Their crab roll needs the fork it's served with since it's overflowing with crab. Their garden seating area is really an oasis. Love it!!

We were in the mood for a lobster roll and happened upon this little, unassuming outdoor spot. The Lobster Shack did not disappoint! An absolutely delicious lobster roll piled high with fresh, delicious lobster meat. The cole slaw that came with our meal was not your typical creamy slaw, but an Asian style slaw that was amazing. The little shack was nestled in a lovely shaded garden right on Main Street next to the Farnsworth Museum. Bring cash because credit cards are not accepted.

As my wife said, even the slaw is good. If you want a real Lobster roll, this is the place to eat. Never fails.

We stopped here for lunch knowing at least one of us wanted a lobster roll and we were not disappointed. It's located on a corner on Main Street and it's a great little spot with gardens, trees and flowers surrounding it so there were plenty of spots in the shade. The service was great and the food was delivered in a reasonable amount of time. The lobster roll was large and delicious. It was served with asian slaw and pickled green beans. We also tried the curry chicken salad and seafood chowder and they were very delicious too. It was a great, relaxing spot for lunch.

I was on a mission to taste every lobster roll and crab roll I could in our weeklong trip to Maine. This crab roll was by far the best! Perfect balance of crab and mayo, with a buttery bun.

The sides were also a step up from the usual chips and pickle, with a light vinegary slaw, marinated green beans, and a fresh slice of watermelon.

I also appreciated having sweet tea and lemonade to blend my own Arnold Palmer. This wasn't on my researched lists of best sites, but IT SHOULD BE!

While you don't have a water view, it is a nice garden seating with shade, right off of Main Street and adjacent to the Farnsworth Art Museum.
