“No Detail Overlooked!”
Reviewed 14 June 2012

My husband and I recently returned from a wonderful weekend at the Scotch Hill Inn. The location of the Inn can't be beat...it's about a 3 minute walk to the center of town and maybe a 7 minute walk to the beach. The innkeepers, Mike and Mike, could not be any more accomodating. When we checked in, Mike told us all about the Inn, the area, and offered restaurant suggestions based on what we wanted to eat. Also, they offer 2 breakfast options, which are very difficult to choose from because they are both delicious. The room we stayed in was perfect and it even had a minifridge for snacks and beverages. And I can't say enough about the bed...the mattress on the bed was out of this world. When we returned home from the Inn, I received an email from Mike, asking if my husband left his cologne in the room, as they found a bottle after we checked out. I responded that it was my husband's and they overnight mailed it to us. It was so nice of them to do that. I can't say enough about the Scotch Hill Inn!

Room Tip: We stayed in Room 2 and loved it.

My husband and I were looking for a relaxing weekend away (we have 11 month old twins so we don't get much quality time together). Based on the reviews from trip advisor I booked the Scotch Hill Inn and wasn't disappointed. The reviews were spot on - this is a fantastic b&b that is cozy, relaxing, and a short walk to the beach and Perkins Cove. Also, Mike (not positive which Mike) gave awesome suggestions. He picked all the perfect restaurants and bars for each day/night based on what we were in the mood for. The breakfasts at Scotch Hill were also delicious. I am one of those "live to eat" people so food is a key part of my vacations and I enjoyed every meal on this weekend getaway. Would definitely recommend the Scotch Hill Inn!

Our weekend at Scotch Hill Inn was very enjoyable. The breakfast choices were wonderful and generous. The king bed and new mattress provided a very comfortable nights' sleep.
Umbrellas at the door were a necessity for the rainy weather. We like the fact that we can park the car and be walking distance from beach, shops and restaurants. The coffee bar in the dining room was a plus, providing a hot beverage whenever we wanted, even a freshly baked cookie for an afternoon snack. The small refrigerator provided cold water too...

Stayed 2 nights this Memorial day weekend. The place is run by Michael
and Michael and they both are running a fantastic operation. The place is immaculate, and the breakfast is número uno!
The location is great,10 mins to beach. Both Michaels care about the experience their guests have and they will give you great recommendations about where to eat, etc.
Great attention is paid to small details in throughout the b & b. We were sorry we could not stay the third night but will most certainly be back!

My husband and I just spent 3 nights at the Scotch Hill Inn, in the Perkins studio. This studio was at the back of the Inn: a large room, with a king size bed, a kitchen area, and a bathroom. Freshly painted, spotless clean, spacious, and with a separate entrance. What more can you ask. Visited the rooms in the main building of the Inn. All absolutely beautiful and again spotless clean. You cannot go wrong with any room. The Inn is on Route 1, located a 30 second walk from the intersection of Route 1, Beach Street, and Shore Road. Again, what more can you ask. You park at the Inn, and walk to the Perkins Cove, to Ogunquit beach, and to Marginal Way. Because it is on Route 1, you have to be prepared for a bit of traffic noise, which I would think would calm down by bedtime. Michael and Michael are very gracious hosts, making every minute of your stay a comfortable one. They will accommodate you with any request you may have. There is always coffee and some homemade snacks available. The gourmet breakfasts prepared by Anthony are not to be missed. Yes, they are gourmet breakfasts: blueberry pancakes, bacon, onion, asparagus frittata, herbed tomato polenta, pumpkin pancakes, falafel patties, just to name a few. There is a choice of 2 every day. We ordered both and shared. All haute cuisine quality ! Overall, we highly, highly recommend this wonderful Inn, and plan on returning.
