To me you don't go to Rick's Cafe for the food..it isn't that it's bad, but it is kind of pricey and all around nothing special. Average. You go to Rick's Cafe so you can sit on the deck with family and/or friends and share some drinks and apps. Rick's Cafe's deck is sitting next to the busy 302..but just beyond that is the beautiful Long Lake, Naples, Maine. So you can enjoy the hustle and bustle while at the same time enjoying the view. It's definitely something you should do at least once a summer. Great atmosphere. The service is friendly and quick. It's a great place for families (with children) during the day and early evening. It's a better place for friends and family (without children) during the late evening hours. I have gone to 5-6 bachelorette parties here. They usually have great music and entertainment here too.

Was taken here by friends who live in the area and come frequently. They always order the same thing so no help there. We had the blooming onion for an appetizer. It was loaded with batter which was totally uncooked in the center. I had the cajun shrimp wrap which was just fine. The fries were not greasy and very crisp and tasty. The view is ok if you like traffic and parked cars. Ok place to eat for the area.

This restaurant does not know how to accommodate special orders. I am shocked by the lack of concern from this restaurant. My sister is allergic to shell fish and when ordering she specifically asked that her food not be placed next to any shell fish.
When the order came her food was right next to a lobster roll, she asked them to take it back. Fifteen minutes later her meal arrived and she proceeded to eat it and after several bites her lips and throat became irritated. Fortunately someone had benadryl. Along with this horrendous mistake half of the orders were wrong. Two of the meals were requested without mayo came with mayo and two other meals requested no mushrooms and came with mushrooms on top which were scrapped off. The only concession was to knock the price off of the one meal contaminated by shellfish but she still had to pay for her soda. Nice place for drinks, gorgeous view! Complete lack of concern patrons safety!

No the food isn't great, and we stick with beer for drinks, but the atmosphere is not to be missed at the end of a sunny day in the lakes region. Go in your flip flops and shorts, bring a sweatshirt for when it cools off at night and don't expect haute cuisine-- it's all about the atmosphere. We enjoy the wraps, the lobster roll is also very good-- well priced and little mayo. And all the kids meals come on frisbees. Go and relax and people watch. Oh-- and wait for an outside table, it's not worth eating indoors as there's little atmosphere and the food is only okay. No need to order dessert here-- stop for an ice cream cone next door.

First off, all furniture is plastic, even inside, creating a tacky feel when sat on or leaned on -- should have been a good indication to leave. We ordered wine and an appetizer of calimari which arrived undercooked and clumped together; an attempt at separating resulted in long strings -- not pretty. I ordered the "new" Long Lake Salad - spinich a bit of chopped romaine with candied walnuts, craisins, blue cheese, tomatoes -- sounds okay, huh? Oh yes, I opted for a step up with sliced grilled chicken -- a $15 salad. It arrived with chicken which had obviously just been taken out of the microwave, steaming and rubbery, totally flavorless; clumps of candied walnuts, clumps blue cheese and ice cold, slightly red cherry tomatoes. The greens were not fresh and the balsamic vinigrette was syrupy and sweet ...my appetite was gone. The waitress never stopped back to ask us how things were -- she'd obviously been trained to deliver and avoid. Any time I'm in Naples, I'll drive past Rick's, it was terrible.
