“Time of Our Lives!”
Reviewed 1 September 2010

This was one of the nicest places I have ever stayed! The location is breathtaking, the grounds are amazing, and our room was lovely. My husband and I stayed here on our honeymoon and arrived late at night, so we were allowed a late check-in...we had never done that before, but when we arrived, an envelope was waiting there for us with instructions and a room key. We went up to our room and the lights were on and the fan was going for us. Our room had a very comfortable king sized bed, a huge jacuzzi tub, just feet away from the bed, and a gas fireplace! We made sure that we used every ammenity possible! The infinity pool was wonderful...we took an evening dip, and the water temperature was so refreshing. The hot tub and sauna were very relaxing. The breakfast at The Edge was so delicious, we were excited to eat there each morning, and we also took part in the Pizza Night there on Sunday night. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Eat out on the deck, it's gorgeous! The pizza was delicious and so was dessert! At the end of our stay, I didn't want to leave! I only had a couple complaints about the room, but wouldn't affect our stay in the future: the windows didn't have any curtains, only blinds, which was fine, but I thought a room of that caliber would have window treatments. The TV was outdated, which again, wouldn't affect my stay, but it would be a nice touch to the rooms to have newer TV's. The ironing board was kind of falling apart- the foam part on the top was coming out and pieces ended up on the floor. And we kept the air conditioner on at night because the room got hot quickly, but once the outside temperature reached 60 degrees, the AC would shut off. So we had to get up and turn the fan on and open the windows, and it got rather warm in the room. Other than that, our stay was fantastic, and we hope to return for our one year anniversary!

Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel. We are always happy to hear that guests have enjoyed their stay with us. We have taken note of the few things you mentioned that would have improved your stay. Televisions are being replaced a few at a time and as far as the curtain/window treatments go, we have decided to have no curtains as they will only block the fabulous view, but thank you again for taking the time to mention these things.

Your business is valuable to us and we certainly hope you will spend your one year anniversary with us.

Kind Regards and Congratulations on your marriage.

Beautiful rooms. LOvely grounds. The infinity pool was something. I would suggest that you do not bother with the Sunday night pizza. I guess the chef is off that night because we ate in the estaurant The Edge and the food was very good. It's worth springing for an ocean view room.

My husband and I recently spent 2 nights at the Inn at Ocean's Edge. The grounds of this beautifully sited inn and restaurant are well-groomed and elegantly landscaped. A serene infinity pool adds further tranquility to the setting. Rooms are pleasant, spacious and well-appointed. Service very responsive. Dinners were delicious, service excellent, breakfasts delightful, a good value.

Nice place overall. Good restaurant, clean rooms, excellent pool / hot tub area, nice view / access to ocean, overall good spot for relaxing couple of nights. We had a jacuzzi tub right in our room but (sadly) never tried it, although we did take advantage of late night swim in the infinity pool and dip in hot tub before sitting by an outside wood burning fire under the stars. Public honor bar is convenient for late night drinks. Breakfast is fine, can order any type of eggs, etc. Front desk staff means well but not exactly professional.

My wife and I stumbled across this lovely inn that sits right on the water outside of Camden. We were returning home from a few days in Quebec City and Bar Harbor and really hadn't planned to stay anohter night in Maine but once you enter the grounds here you can't help yourself. It is peaceful with plenty of lounge chairs, a wonderful pool and large rooms with a king sized bed and a jacuzzi in each and a great restraunt next door!. Ask for a top floor room because you can hear every step from those above you.
Our biggest disappointment was the innkeeper who booked us in a room that we could have for two nights. She said our room would be ready at 3 and when we returned it was but she was gone for the day. The girl that gave us our key didn't ask if we planned on staying the second night and when we went to the lobby the next morning to confirm our intention we were told our room had been sold out from under us. Even with this disappointing treatment we plan to go back and recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a quiet get-a-way.
