We stumbled on Blair Hill quite by accident three years ago and have been back every year since. Each year we add an extra day or two, and still we hate to leave. There cannot be a more idyllic location anywhere, the views in every direction are spectacular. The Inn itself is perfection, decorated with an elegance that highlights the beauty of the location and is comfortable and inviting without being pretentious or overdone. Dan and Ruth are wonderful hosts and there is something magical about their personalities that bring people together in a most wonderful way. We a have made friends that we look forward to meeting every year and we count Dan and Ruth among them. This is truly a special spot. Almost forgot, dinners are always a special treat, an evening to remember. Breakfast never disappoints, always creative, always something fresh from their garden, and always beautifully presented.

Room Tip: Hard to beat the views from room#1, but we have stayed in different rooms and they are all wonderful.

...has glorious views over Moosehead lake. We stayed here a couple of nights on our 25th wedding anniversary. The house and rooms are beautifully presented, comfortable and warm, the owners are welcoming and helpful without being intrusive. Breakfasts were probably the best we had during our entire trip.

This was our second stay at the Blair Hill Inn. Everything about the inn is perfect. Ruth and Dan, the innkeepers/owners, have the magic formula for creating an exquisite getaway. Rooms are decorated with such taste, not overdone at all, but so soothing and peaceful. Sitting on the front porch might just be our favorite thing to do. I could go on and on about how wonderful the Blair Hill Inn is - I'd just encourage a visit if you're planning to visit this area of Maine.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay here tremendously. The view is unbeatable in a tranquil setting. First trip to Maine, and this stay was perfect. The breakfast was superb, creative and very tasty. All of the staff were willing to help out with recommendations locally and we got to experience the great outdoors along with the luxury hospitality to make us feel comfortable.

Room Tip: The fish n' chips in town, (at the restaurant with the famous chicken), is the best I've had in the USA. (I'm a Brit, so know my fish n' chips!)
