“It feels like home.”
Reviewed 6 December 2011

My wife and I have been going there yearly for about 11 years now. We have gone with other couples , or just by ouselves. This year we brought our daughter. The experience has always been terrific. Jane and Alden are awesome hosts and the breakfasts are truly over the top. We have stayed in every room there and they all very comfortable and clean. We sometimes will park the car when we get there and never use it again over a 2 night stay because they are so close to everything. It is a short walk to all the shops and stores in Freeport and there are many places to eat within the same short distance. Don't forget to say hi to "Nick" their friendly lab, he is part of the great experience here. We always make our reservations for the next visit while we are there to make sure there is a room for us. I am sure you will be glad you stayed here.

We only stayed 1 night whilst on our road trip of usa, but could not have wished for a nicer place. The room we stayed in was the canopy room and was very confortable. beautifully decorated and clean.
The inn is only a short walk to the many shops which I enjoyed and there is a great chinese restaurant nearby.
We had a wonderful time chatting with Jayne and Alden and got some helpful tips on where to go on our journey up to Bar Harbor.
In the morning Jane made us a scrumptious breakfast of poached pears, cinnamon toast with warm maple syrup and apple donuts from the local orchard, what more could you want, certainly had no room for lunch.
So glad we stayed and would have liked to stay longer. Thankyou both for your hospitality.

Room Tip: All three rooms looked lovely you cant go wrong.
