My family and I stayed at Acadia Village Resort for the umpteenth time for our Christmas vacation (we like cold and snow!), but for the first time in a unit in the Manor. the 2 BR unit is all on one floor (unlike the townhouses) and everything was in good working order. The wallpaper in the master bath is starting to peel, and they could have put a larger shower in the master (there is plenty of room), but otherwise things were pretty comfortable. Having a double/single bed 2nd BR was also nice for us. A small complaint is in the parking - if you have a large vehicle in the Manor area, the parking lot is not very wide, so just be careful!

The TV in the master suite was a little small but otherwise it was ok. No major issues. Did not use the in-room whirlpool tub, but it was in the bedroom area. the laundry being in the hallway was no big deal, especially since nobody was in the other unit on the floor.

The pool was just relined and the kids love it on those winter evenings. The pool area itself is almost unbearably hot and humid if you are not in the water, though. The staff was as friendly and helpful as ever. As always we enjoyed our week at AVR.

Family friendly atmosphere
Pool, movies to rent, ping- pong - very cute
Townhouse we stayed in was very clean and large space
Location of the resort was perfect for us - just 20 minutes to Acadia National park. Easy drive

Room Tip: We really like our townhome

The Acadia Village Resort was in a good location to use as a base to visit Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor & explore the beautiful Maine coastline. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. The rooms were large and very clean. Would also be a great spot if you're into winter sports (skiing, etc)

We were very pleased to find such nice accommodations. Great layout, lovely decor, clean, roomy. All the amenities you need were there...blender, coffee pot, microwave, hairdryers in both bathrooms. Plush towels. Beautiful stone floor and tile work in tubs. Iron & ironing board. Good size heated pool, excellent choice of DVDs, Lounge/reading room off the pool, with a computer. Good wifi $15/week. We even played some ping pong. They also have tennis courts. Very nice staff.

This "resort" is 30 minutes outside of Acadia National Park. We stayed in a townhouse which was quite large. Two bedrooms, 2 fulls baths, 1 half bath, a jacuzzi room, full kitchen, living room, washer/dryer and back deck. My only complaint about our accommodations was the master bathroom had a funk to it and even with an air fresher it couldn't be covered. No a/c in the town houses but we brought window fans and were lucky the nights were cool. WiFi is free in the clubhouse but $15 dollars a week in your room. This place is definitely dated and not what I would consider a resort, but still in good shape.
