We were blessed with the opportunity to dine at the Hartstone Inn one evening on vacation. Chef Michael crafted the most amazing 5 course meal. The evening ranks as one of the most memorable times of our marriage. The staff was phenomenal and I can not say enough about the food. Chef came and said hello after the dinner and was so nice. I wish we lived in Maine so we could make this happen a couple of times a year. We were not fortunate enough to stay at the Inn however the downstairs and gardens are fantastic and I am sure with the quality of staff your stay would be exceptional.

We've stayed at the Inn several times in the past but it just gets better.
We met another couple from Oregon for two nights and, like us, they
loved it. The restaurant is as good as you'll find anywhere. We scheduled
our meal the first night and it was wonderful as were breakfasts both
days. The second evening we were planning on eating out but our
friends said that they would like to eat at the Inn again if they could
accommodate us. The hostess checked with the chef and he said that,
with the exception of the appetizer, we'd be fine and he made a special
appetizer for my wife which was great.

Our friends commented that the Hartstone set a new standard for B & B's
and that the restaurant was one of the best that ever experienced. We
agree completely.

The rooms are very comfortable and very well appointed. Just a great place
to stay.

Room Tip: The rooms in the main house can be a LITTLE noisy because of road traffic on Rt 1.

We absolutely loved Camden. Arrived on July 4th. Had time to lazily tour the park and hunker down own the Smiling Cow balcony with complementary coffee. It was a thrill to hear the Army Band play in the amphitheater and then to drop in to the Hartstone Inn. Beautifully appointed room, with a happy hour, and alot of class. We enjoyed the other guests. Breakfast was superb, living up to Michael's reputation. He's got a flair for food, a passion to share with you. Mary Jo was a gem, despite a broken hand. We loved it.

Don't hesitate to stop by and stay for awhile.

We had not visitied Camden for many years and decided to stay at the Hartstone Inn. It's perfectly located in town (with easy parking) and has so much to offer. Apart from the lovely Victorian style of the inn, the rooms are beautifully appointed. Perhaps best of all is the gourmet cuisine provided by the owner/chef, Michael. His wife, Mary Jo, makes everyone feel welcome with her charming smile. The breakfasts are always something to look forward to. Be sure to reserve one of their dinners for an extra treat!

Room Tip: We were located on the first floor and thought it might be a bit noisy, but was not.
