“Lovely Stay”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 December 2011

After five days touring Boston's busy streets, we'd scheduled a quick drive up the coast and what we hoped would be a relaxing day in Camden to top off our vacation. We weren't disappointed! The Belmont Inn was charming, immaculate, and full of personality--so warm and inviting. Anita was very helpful in suggesting places to hike, stroll about town, and wonderful restaurants to sample. We enjoyed just poking around Camden and drinking in the beautiful surroundings. Breakfast the next morning-- served in a sunny enclosed porch-- was a delicious asparagus fritata, assortment of juices, coffee/tea and toast with various jams. I had a hard time staying out ot the blueberry jam! The inn had the perfect ambiance for a lovely respite. We found ourselves regretting that we had only one night to spend there! We highly recommend the Belmont Inn and hope to visit again.

We were treated to a warm and gracious experience at the Belmont Inn. Our room was cozy, inviting and our experience at the Inn was a treasure that will inspire wonderful lifetime memories. The Innkeeper, Anita, cooked fabulous breakfasts and provided very informative directions on the best sightseeing adventures, hikes, drives, and food in and around Camden. Each morning after breakfast she sat with those who were interested to help us map our day's journey. We are definitely returning for more of Camden and the Belmont Inn.

Just got back from a week stay at the Belmont Inn in Camden, Maine. The Inn was lovely. At first we wanted a room with a view of the ocean, but we found that being on a quiet street that was in town, but secluded at the same time, was perfect. We could escape to the porch with a glass of wine and enjoy the garden, and get away fromt the bustle of main street. It was an easy walk to everything. The innkeeper, Anita, made a special effort to get us a nice room for our combination personal and business travel, and took a personal interest in us, helping us to have the best experience in Camden and the surrounding area. We found BEAUTIFUL bucolic areas to run and hike, and fabulous restaurants to restock all the calories we burned. Plus Anita made amazing breakfasts and cookies to keep us well fed. I couldn't recommend the Inn and the town of Camden more highly.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Allan Room -- lovely, although the bed was a bit firm for our tastes, and it's...

We stayed at The Belmont Inn for 2 nights at the begining of October. We arrived in the pouring rain having spent 3 hours in the car and so were not in the best frame of mind. As soon as Anita opened her door our spirits soared. We had stayed at a number of Inn's during our trip but this one was outstanding. The house is amazing. It is charming, stylish and yet so comfortable and welcoming. The rooms are spectacular and the attention to detail makes you feel like you are in an exclusive boutique hotel.. Anita is full of knowledge of the area and can recommend any activity, restaurant or places of interest depending on what you want... if you dont want to visit museums and just want to sit and watch the world go by, she can recommend somewhere to suit. We genuinly hope that we will be lucky enough to stay at the Belmont again, and would not hesitate in recommending it. Anita was a perfect host and a lovely lady, we would welcome her to our home - with a Mimosa!

We spent a fantastic 3 nights at the Belmont Inn. The B&B definitely lived up to its reputation as one of Camden's finest. It was a pleasure just sitting on the porch during the afternoon, watching the leaves on the Katsura turn, reading books and reflecting on our marriage. Anita prepared exceptional breakfasts, was extremely knowledgeable about the area, and connected to all of Camden's offerings. She helped put the icing on the cake of our weekend by arranging a sunset schooner ride over the Penobscot. It was indeed a wonderful weekend.
