“Magnificent, if not exceptional”

What a hospitable Innkeeper/host with very well maintained property, inside and out. The friendly welcome set the tone, which was maintained over happy hour. Prior arrangements prevented us from dining, but we were tempted by an after dinner dessert and wine, which met all expectations. The breakfast was equally excellent. We stayed in the loft (queen main room, 2 singles adjoining), good linen, toiletries, etc. and not a thing to fault.
The Inn and the town seemed to be a very interesting gem, worthy of a longer stay - next time. Wifi reception was better down stairs.
The black flies (outside) were the only problem, but that is a Maine coastal problem, not just in Blue Hills.
No pool or spa, so?

We live in Bar Harbor and had plans to go to a concert/dance fundraiser in Blue Hill so decided to make a night of it and stay at the Blue hill Inn. The dance benefit was terrific, a wonderful local band called Hoot! The Inn had been highly recommended and we were not disappointed. It was just one night and only 30 miles from home but the Inn as so classy, luxurious and cozy that, when we started back to MDI, we realized we'd been on a real mini vacation and the perfect one at that!

If you like unsurpassed personal attention, delicious and luxurious amenities, and the beautiful, artsy and adventurous coast of Maine....you will never find a more perfect Inn, or enthusiastic, knowledgable innkeeper. Sarah Pebworth has provided every possible need or desire ( and several pleasant surprises!) during our wonderful winter respite....and so pleasantly extended our stay when we couldn't get home as planned. We have enjoyed many inns in the last 30 years of travel..NONE like our experience here. What great, good fortune for visitors to the Blue Hill peninsula ! Alice Ann & Jim Madix

From the time we arrived in the little town of Blue Hill and settled in at the Blue Hill Inn, we were treated like special friends of the family. We stayed there for five nights in two different rooms. We love the spacious feel of Room # 8 and enjoyed the fireplace in #5. The beds were very comfortable, and the multi-course breakfast choices were outstanding. I had the blueberry pancakes five mornings in a row. The innkeepers made sure each morning that we had all our questions answered regarding trips to Acadia National Park or nearby scenic villages such as Castine and Stonington. They also recommended great places to eat. The common areas were beautiful and well-equipped with books and snacks and antiques. We have stayed in many B&B's over the past 13 years, and I must say that Blue Hill has really spoiled me. I will be recommending this inn to all my friends who travel to Maine.

We stayed one night at the Blue Hill in late August. Sarah and her staff are gracious and attentive hosts. Sarah greeted us when we arrived, and after a brief tour of the facilities showed us to our accomodations. We stayed in one of the cottage suites, which was spacious and well-appointed. It was a very warm day so we were grateful to have air-conditioning.

Breakfast the next morning was sumptuous. It was unfortunate that we could only spend one night.
