Vacationing in the Belfast area. Stopped in b/c of Tripadvisor review. It was still pretty busy after 1:00 but we didn't have to wait long for a table. Typical pub with a continuous buzz of chatter. Hubby had Guiness and haddock sandwich. Nice piece of real haddock with homemade fires. I had a hard cider and a reuben. Very good. We'd eat there again.

We walked in and grabbed a couple of seats at the bar one night. We started with the hot artichoke dip. Delicious! Plenty of beers on tap to go with it. I had the crab roll and my husband had the crabmeat dinner. Fresh crab, not too much mayo. Very good. Enjoyed talking with our server too. Have fun at Killington this winter!
Would definitely recommend.

Darby's was recommended by locals but honestly,, we were not overly impressed. The atmosphere was nice but the service was so-so and the food was not that great for the price. We have eaten at other local places that we liked a whole lot more. It wasn't bad...it just wasn't great.

Much of this place is old and classy, with tin ceilings and a fabulous 1800s bar, but some rickety booths. The service is very friendly, and the food (which used to be fair is now very good, overall).

The burgers and fries ($11-$13) are pretty good and the salads ($5 for a small one) are excellent! Try the garlic-feta dressing on a salad! Some of the regular appetizers are quite good, as well, including the Baked Jarlsburg (on the regular menu) and the "Hen of the Woods" fried mushrooms (which we had from the specials). Both specials were $11 and the portions were ample. And some of the main dishes are very good, too, including the Broiled Haddock with two sides ($20).
