There were two great things about Churro's: the food and the staff. The restaurant itself is nothing spectacular, in a strip mall. It is small but clean and appealing. The staff was hilarious and could not have been friendlier, I felt like I was at a relative's house. There were three of us and we ordered two sandwiches plus a starter. They cut the sandwiches in three for us and didn't skip a beat when we ordered something to go. The croquettes were yummy to start, four of them. The Cuban sandwich was not greasy and very light yet there was more cheese on here than other Cuban sandwiches I've had. Same goes for the ropa vieja which had a delicious, tangy flavor. Perhaps it was cooked in a light tomato sauce? There was a considerable amount of meat on this sandwich so when I picked it up I expected it to be heavy and greasy and it was exactly the opposite. Delicious. We went on Saturday for lunch and were seated immediately but I hear if you try to go on a weekday for lunch it will be very crowded.
