This store is more than just a store. It is a hunting, fishing, camping, cooking, clothing, boating, etc. experience. Great quality and selection. Don't miss going to the upstairs left hand corner Bargain Cave. Have found some high quality, extremely low priced items there. A fun store.

My wife and I dropped by Cabela's recently on the way to New Orleans. It was my second trip, and I immediately headed to the large fish tanks which are one of the highlights of the store. There I encountered the usual albino fish, giant snapping turtle and other large specimens which intrigue young and old alike. On the other side of the store one finds the "stuffed" wildlife specimens, including deer and other forest animals of all kinds (don't miss this exhibit).

I walked through the clothing department, boating and fishing departments, and also stopped by the gun counters where a salesman showed me various pump action shotguns.

You could spend hours in this store as there is a new and exciting adventure around every corner.

I'll be back, because neither I nor, I suspect, anyone else can stay away too long.

Enjoyed the fish tank! Too pricey for the average sportsman. Did have some good bargins on the clearance items.
