Waitress unloading boxes on Fri night dinner hour left us for awhile before taking order. I asked to taste gumbo before ordering and it tasted like greasy overspiced tomato. So I got boiled crawfish thinking-- hey, I'm in S La, how bad can it be? BAD. I first ordered mild because some places overdo it, but even after sending back to resoak my $19.00 order of crawfish was practically tasteless. My waitress did not offer to make it right, so I had her bag it up. Maybe I can peel 'em and make them taste like something at home . . . We will never go back.

My husband and I have had boiled crawfish a number of times and just haven't found them to be that great. THIS TIME THEY WERE WONDERFUL. I also had the "Half and Half" which is crawfish étouffée and broiled crawfish, which was really good. There was a 15 minute wait, but it certainly was worth it..( It was a Friday evening) The atmosphere is silly Cajun and very enjoyable. Will definitely dine here again.

While driving around Lafayette, LA we decided to go for the areas well known Cajun style cuisine. We went to several Trip Advisories recommendations but our timing wasn't very good as most were closed between lunch and dinner. We stumbled on Crazy About Cajun on our way back to the interstate and decided to give it a try. A little on the shabby chic side with stuff on the walls and Cajun spices for retail sales. I ordered the special Cajun platter with alligator and my wife ordered the catfish. This place was fun, friendly and kick butt atmosphere for the area. The food was very good and different andwe will definitely make it a stop on the way back home to Texas.

While just happening to stop in Beaux Bridge, I learned that the area was the crawfish "capital" of the USA..... the hotel recommended the gumbo. Hot, flavorful, full of crawfish, with some of the best tasting rice to accompany the dish + a slice of buttered toast. Also ordered the potato salad. I was not didisappointed.
