This is a very nice new hotel. I have not stayed in a Sleep Inn in many years, but was very impressed with the hotel. The room we stayed in (#120) was equipped for those with physical disabilities with a roll in shower. It was actually one of the best equipped handicapped rooms that we have stayed in. We had a king size bed, plus a sleep sofa. The sheets to the sleep sofa were easy to find. The room and bathroom were very clean. The bed was comfortable. The continental breakfast was good.
I would have rated it 5 stars except we had a difficulty which could have been a HUGE safety concern. The safety door latch automatically locked whenever the door was shut. If there was a fire, we could not have gotten back into our room. Our son, who uses a wheelchair, could not get to the door to unlock it for us. We had to wait for someone from the hotel staff to open it. Obviously, this has happened several times before as they all said that they had to open other rooms before. However, the only one who could successfully open it was the maintenance man. Fortunately, we ONLY had to wait for 10 minutes for him to get to the hotel. Everything worked out ok, but I could not help but think about how this could have been a dangerous situation. If anyone from management is reading this, please look at putting another type of lock in room 120.
