I love the roast beef on Fridays. The Mac and Cheese is so good I try to avoid the place. Great Breakfast Omlette they don't skimp.

Thank Stefanie T

This is a very straightforward cafeteria-style location in the basement of the PNC building at 5th and Main. They have a very decent salad bar, a deli area, a hot plate-style line, a grill and an area for prepackaged snacks, salads, fruit, etc. It's nothing fancy but the prices are reasonable (~$7 for a very good club sandwich, pickle and chips) and the quality is good enough that I've been known to go twice in one week. They also serve a very good short-order breakfast. I wish there were more places like this around downtown.

This place is in the lower level of the PNC Bank building and would never have found it without the signs on the sidewalk. I like cafeterias and know they are more prevalent in the south, so wanted to try it. The place has a deli sandwich station, a salad bar, a "grill" where you can get burgers, and a hot food line with usual cafeteria fare like fried chicken, fried fish, etc. I opted for the vegetarian plate with brussels sprouts, mixed greens, and stewed cabbage. They have good home made rolls and the veggies were fine, if not over cooked which is the usual when things sit on a steam table. The cashier who helped me was so nice and very helpful to anything I needed. There were a good number people here, so I'd say that if you want an OK and cheap hot meal, this is fine.

This place is average at best and a little overpriced for the quality and style. We were just hanging out, walking around visiting attractions in the downtown area when it began to rain so we decided to grab a quick bite to eat. This was the first place we found to eat and get out of the rain. It severed the purpose but I definitely would recommend it. I am sure there are plenty of better places in the area to eat. The food is just basic nothing special or fancy. The cooks are very nice, personable and welcoming, however the man at the register was the complete opposite. He was nasty, very rude and not welcoming at all. Its seems to be more of a cafeteria for the people working in the building. All things consider find somewhere else to eat.

Our family members have different nutritional needs. We travel quite often to different sports competitions for our son, and he usually competes early in the morning. So, breakfast is important for us all. Here in Louisville, if you do a Google search, you get five breakfast places which usually open around 8 AM or charge over $10 per meal per person.

We found Cravings ALA Carte early this morning on the way to the Convention Center -- they put out a sign announcing that they served breakfast AND gave a discount for people who were participating in Convention Center events (which we were)!

The restaurant is in a high rise office building across the street from many major hotels in the downtown. It traditionally serves the office crowds, opening at 7 AM and closing at 2:30 PM -- serving both breakfast and lunch. They have a grill where you can order eggs, pancakes, French toast, bacon, sausage, and omelets. They also have muffins, cereal, oatmeal, fresh fruit and drinks. All of these are at reasonable prices especially for families on a budget!

They have a nice seating area (with a pleasant fountain) as well as television for sit-down meals.

Friendly service, good food, clean eating facility! We recommend it highly.

P.S. They are on Facebook and do come up if you type their name out on Google and Trip Adviser.
