Make sure and do the walking bridge! It's great to walk to Indiana from Kentucky. When on the Indiana side, go to the candy store! Great family activity.

This is a nice waterfront park by the river in Louisville downtown. One can simple take a stroll, do bike, run or simply sit and enjoy the river.

I walked from my hotel to the park and found it to be a great viewing area for the Ohio River. Others have complained about panhandlers in the area but I saw none during my mid morning walk. Lots to see and plenty of benches to rest. Nice waterfront park.

This was the first activity we did after arriving in Louisville for an anniversary get-a-way holiday; it was terrific. We walked from our downtown accommodations on 4th Street to the Ohio River, from there we walked along the public Louisville Waterfront Park paths paralleling the river, and then we spiraled up the ramp to cross the bridge into Indiana. At that point we u-turned and retraced our steps. It was about 6 miles total. The bridge was in terrific condition; well-signed and clean as-can-be. Their were plenty of people enjoying their Sunday afternoon on bikes, running, and walking.

This beautiful park is located on the Ohio River and is an excellent vantage point to take in sweeping views of the river of course but also the impressive bridges that cross it and the downtown skyline.
There's a walking path that connects by pedestrian bridge to a riverwalk on the Indiana side of the river so I would say this is the ideal area for walkers and joggers!
