An old church converted into a bar, novel idea, but the atmosphere here is great, great service, limited menu but the food they have is great, if you visit, you need to check out the choir loft upstairs! Great selection of beer, overall a great place to visit and have a meal and some brews!

Great food, great beer, great atmosphere and out of this world banana pudding! The Holy Grale is a bar / restaurant set in an old church (thus the name). The food menu is limited but great, the beer menu is vast and you'll for sure find one you like. It's located in an area of Louisville called "The Highlands". Either before or after you eat, take a walk and check out the local scene.

A group of four of us came here during the Kentucky Derby. It was completely packed, but we managed to get a section of the 12-seater picnic-style table in the loft. The beer selection is incredible, atmosphere is fun and the food is delicious. Staff is prompt and very helpful. We wound up playing drinking games with everyone at the table, had rough hangovers the next morning and were late for the derby. Sometime's that's the price you pay for having a great time with new friends.

Had a really nice and relaxing evening enjoying beers we'd never heard of (Norwegian beer!) and eating good food. We had the cheese plate, a burger, fries (sooooo good) and the evenings special, a salad with chicken and goat cheese. It's cozy, you order at the counter, and it has a great neighborhood/community vibe.

Beer list so long anyone will find something that fits their liking, food menu very limited unless there was a separate menu. We tried the $14 chicken thigh and pork belly sliders-they were good! Two sliders for $14 is a little pricey but they were good!
