Noisiest hotel stay I have ever had. Our room was 2nd floor, apparently above the pool, so we would get the pool odor every time we came in from the outside. The HVAC was confusing to regulate, we had to call the front desk. To his credit, the front desk guy came right up to help get the HVAC regulated. There was a regional sports activity in Louisville at the time, so the hotel was sold-out for the weekend. The adults were noisier than the kids. They stood in the hall chatting, gabbed outside a room with the room's occupants. If you book a hotel, ask the reservation dept if there's a convention or sports tournament in town which could affect your experience. Res departments should know to inquire as well.

Room Tip: End of corridor probably better.

When I travel back to Louisville, KY. I hope my stay to be longer next time and especially at this hotel. Springhill Suites Louisville Hurstbourne/North was a pleasant stop. The price was moderate and the service was great. The hotel served a free breakfast which was filling and plentiful, I got thirds.

We really love to stay at this hotel! The staff is awesome. Sheila Roden went out of her way to make sure that we were comfortable. The manager, Matthew Haynes was amazing. They have a great breakfast, very clean and comfortable rooms. You just can't go wrong! 5 Stars-2 thumbs up!

Room Tip: They all seem to be good! I always ask for one's away from the elevator.

This is a typical Springhill Suites. The rooms are spacious with a lounge area and kitchenette (microwave, fridge and table). The beds are quite comfortable. The staff was very friendly. There is an indoor pool and exercise room. I did not try the complementary breakfast. It is situated in a good area with a lot of stores and restaurants close by.

I booked this room when when coming into town to see family, since most of our normal hotels we have stayed at on Hurstbourne had inflated prices. Not only were we pleasantly surprised, but it was much more convenient to our families and away from the heavy traffic of Hurstbourne between Shelbyville Road and Taylorsville Road. We were still minutes away from some of our favorite restaurants, but also the Oxmoor and Middletown areas.
The rooms were spacious and gave us room to stretch out to watch TV instead of sitting in bed. The microwave with some plates and some plastic ware make it easy to reheat left overs, The frig kept things very cold and the desk area gave me room to put on makeup and do my hair. I travel with a small folding mirror, which worked on the desk rather than taking up the sink and mirror in the divided bath area. I would have preferred a walk in shower, but the tub with the rounded shower rod was plenty spacious. I also would prefer some drawers, instead of the "European" design open shelving, but i still found plenty of room to unpack and put our clothes away..
Breakfast was very nice, served hot and was nicely laid out so to keep people from bottle-necking. The waffle maker was in a strange spot away from the rest of the food, but it seemed to work well for those who used it. The tables were spaced so it never seemed crowded. We especially liked having coffee, tea and hot chocolate available around the clock away from the food area. This made it very convenient to get coffee when returned at night or getting coffee before finding a seat for breakfast.
The pool was down for maintenance, which disappointed us, but not a deal breaker since we didn't have a lot of extra time.
Over-all, we felt this was an excellent option for our hotel to stay at when in town. We will be back later this spring and I do plan to book the Springhill Suites on on Hurstbourne again.

Room Tip: Our room on the 2nd floor faced Hurstbourne which has more traffic especially during the week.
