Owner description: Batter up! It takes a special place to craft the #1 Bat in Major League Baseball. At Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory, experience history-in-the-making as you stroll through the actual factory where world-famous Louisville Slugger bats are created. The award-winning factory tour is a highlight of the visit here, but there's plenty more to enjoy along with it. Admire the World's Biggest Bat - stretching 120 feet into the sky. Hold bats actually used by baseball superstars like Mickey Mantle, Johnny Bench, Cal Ripken Jr. And Derek Jeter. Face down a 90-mph fastball hurled by a major league pitcher. Count the homerun notches Babe Ruth carved into his Louisville Slugger bat for every home run he hit with it. Step into the batting cages and take some swings with a replica model of your hero's bat. Guests even get a free miniature souvenir bat at the end of the factory tour. You can even create a bat with your own name on it, just like the pros. They make great gifts for all kinds of special occasions, from newborn babies, to groomsmen gifts, to team trophies and more. The museum store is also loaded with lots of sporty merchandise for every budget. Be sure to swing by! Please visit our official website for up-to-date hours and admission prices.

“Fun for the whole family”

We visited the Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory with our three sons (7-14). The movie and tour were very interesting and informative. There was lots of cool memorabilia and interesting hand-on exhibits for the kids. Everyone in our family enjoyed it, especially the kids!

“Louisville Slugger Tour”
Reviewed 5 April 2012

We went on a Saturday and there were lots of people there, so I think they added tours. It was distracting sometimes because while the machines made noise (as expected) there were too many people in our group to hear the tour guide on many occasions. The museum is free but can be overwhelming. Lots of reading to do. Would have been nice if "tour guide" could have continued with us in the museum and hit on some high spots there. But all-in-all, the place is very fascinating. We got more information from asking the lady at the Information Desk questions than from our tour guide.

“Must see if you like baseball”
Reviewed 4 April 2012

Very nicely done and very educational. Our 7 & 10 year old had a great time. You actually take a tour right In the heart of the factory and see people working on professional and non Professional bats. We spent 1.5 hours touring which was nice and short. Make sure you order your personalized bat before your tour so you not waiting around for it when your ready to go. We would definitely go again but we are all huge baseball fans too.

“Enjoyable even for a non-baseball fan”
Reviewed 3 April 2012

I loved the tour through the factory that is included in the price of admission, and that you get your own little mini-bat to take home with you. Further, the chance to swing replica bats of the great players in history was really neat.
