We stopped here for Sunday brunch while in town visiting our daughter at UK. Overall, the meal was very good and the service was excellent. We sat in the large upstairs area which was nice. I can imagine this is a great place to watch UK football and basketball games on a weekend afternoon or evening. Lots of TVs everywhere on the walls and just an overall upbeat, fun vibe.

We visited Bear and Butcher on a rainy Saturday while killing time between events at UK. Having never been to the Chevy Chase part of Lexington we found it pretty neat. However, the weather prevented any outdoor activities or walking around. We settled on Bear and Butcher for a couple of appetizers and drinks. I found the bar a little noisy given the small crowd. Our bartender was super friendly and talkative. She made good drinks and took care of us. In our opinion the food was most likely all frozen or pre prepped. I had the Belgian frites and they were quite soft. My wife had the pretzels and I’m sure they weren’t baked on site. Nonetheless , service always wins and our time was way too limited to render a judgement. I’d love to come back for more food on a sunny day.

Great menu with many well crafted items, difficult to choose. Fried chicken sandwich was great, daughter loved the grilled cheese, and wife loved her salad. Beautiful spot, great staff and food is excellent.

Everything we ordered was delicious. WINGS a winner. Bourbon glaze made the Salmon dish. Brussels Sprouts a winner.

I stopped after a basketball camp at UK and the food was wonderful. We had the smoked wings and the pulled pork Nachos.
