Owner description: Established in 1998, Turdo Vineyards is now in its 10th vintage. A family owned and run operation, Turdo Vineyards is known for producing award winning, premium hand-crafted wines. Including italian varietals such as Sangiovese, Barbera, Nebbiolo, Dolcetto, and its signature wine, Nero D'Avola. All the fruit used is 100% estate grown, with the main focus being quality, not quantity. Owner and Master Winemaker, Salvatore Turdo's passion and commitment, has established Turdo Vineyards as New Jersey's most distinct vineyard & winery. We look forward to seeing you soon.

Tasted 5 wines and they were all delicious. Not the sweet crap that so many places on the East Coast. These wines reflect Italy and California, dry with great tannins. Get here early, as the tasting room is small and fills up quick:

Enjoy the best wine in Csoe May County in a Tuscan setting!
Sit out under the arbor and enjoy the breezes on the vineyard.

Yes that's how I'm going to rate this winery.a small winery in Cape May that had potential but good god please change the way you wash your wine glasses, they smelt like mildew and just took away from the experience.please please change your sponges!! The dogs max and his son are adorable but they would add to a 5 star rating if those glasses were cleaned properly

Hi James,

We are sorry about your wine tasting experience on your recent visit. We take great pride in ensuring that all of our customers truly enjoy their visits to our winery. In regards to your wine glass, and our "sponges", we can tell you that all of our glassware, wine pourers, cracker bowls, and any item involving wine or food, is Rinsed, Washed, and Sanitized in our commercial dishwasher. The Dept. of Health comes in every year and tests the water temperature, water pressure, and dishwasher, to make sure everything is up to their standards. We have passed every inspection since we've been open for business. We do not use sponges to clean our glasses. We apologize that your wine glass had an off-smell to it, and we would've been more than happy to give you a new wine glass, had you asked.... This is the first time we've received a complaint in regards to our glassware, in the the 15 years we've been in operation. If you come back to visit us in the future, please ask for me or my son Luca, and we would like to offer you a complimentary wine tasting.

We found Turdo on a girls weekend at the beach. Sisters and mom down for a little special time. From the beginning they were family. The tasting experience is always warm. The staff experienced knowledgeable and the wine delicious. There are other wineries in the area. Do this one first!

We love going to Turdo Vineyards. Last visit (summer 2016) we bought a bottle of a lovely rose, and some cheese, and sat outside on the patio, having conversations with one another and with some folks also seated nearby. I was happy to see that the patio is dog-friendly, and we visited with some great pups as well as lovely people. Turdo's wine tasting is always enjoyable, and members of the family have been in the tasting room every time we have visited - we have been going there since at least 2010, possibly earlier. I like several of their wines and we usually buy some wine to restock our wine rack at home. I would recommend for a relaxing afternoon.

Thank Lee Ann S
