We didn't stay here but dropped in for dinner after a day of touring the Bonavista Peninusla. The last week of June 2015. Both of us ordered the pan fried cod which was perfectly cooked. The in house French fries were the best. The green salads were very fresh. At $20 per meal it was an excellent deal.

Service was pleasant and timely.

Whenever we travel to Newfoundland and visit the Bonavista area we make sure to stop in at the Seaport Inn for lunch. The hamburgers, which are obviously made fresh, along with the fries are just excellent.

Nothing about this quaint little restaurant would tip you off to the fact that they've got some really great food but trust me, give it a try. You won't be disappointed.

Our memories of a recent whirlwind tour of the Bonavista Peninsula will be augmented by the tasty and carefully prepared cod dinners that we enjoyed on two separate occasions at the Seaport Inn Dining Room in Port Union. It was a rare occurrence for us to have the Chef take time away from the kitchen to check to see that our food and beverages were to our satisfaction, as well as, to make us feel welcome in a setting hundreds of miles away from our home. Thank you Darlene for helping to make our most recent trip to Newfoundland such a wonderful experience.

The confort is simple but quite sufficient to feel good and the staff is very welcoming and accomodating for travellers (and even their pets). The foods are simple too but of good quality. A recommendable halt in the nice Bonavista peninsula.

My family and I have been to Seaport last summer and returned again this Fall. This time we went to take my father in law for Lunch. We were a party of 9 and they gave us a nice table and the service was top notch. In conversation with our waitress we told her that it was our father's 90th birthday. After our wonderful lunch of home cooking, they brought out a piece of cake with a candle in it. The staff sang Happy Birthday to him. This was so touching. The food, I might add was great. Try the homemade fries. They are so good. The burgers and fresh made. They are not the frozen to cook kind. I know that if your try this restaurant you will not be disappointed.
