Salads, appetizers and cocktails on the sprawling couch in the courtyard outside. More substantial dinner options sounded good but were eating light and a little late. Attentive, friendly service to help us celebrate first night of our "mature couple" honeymoon. We were later joined on the opposite couch by a younger couple with a toddler for 10-15 minutes of pleasant conversation. Then we got to send the instant grandkid off to bed with his parents!

Dear MwSons,
Thank you for your 5 star review. We are delighted to hear that you had the opportunity to enjoy our communal Courtyard space. It is especially nice when the fireplace is going. Congrats on the honeymoon and we hope to welcome you again soon.

We came here for the first time to celebrate our anniversary, and weren't disappointed. Our server and
the entire staff were friendly, attentive and helpful. The menu pays homage to Kentucky's culinary roots with updated comfort food. We enjoyed the fried green tomatoes, shrimp and grits and trout. All dishes were expertly prepared and beautifully presented. Nearby Mainstausse has a lot of charm and good restaurants, but you should not miss this hidden gem in Covington.

We had the opportunity to have breakfast here, after staying at the Hotel Covington overnight. It was fantastic! Great omelette (3 egg?) with spinach, goat cheese, and mushrooms. And, the outdoor seating area is beautiful!

This is a surprising find in the chic Covington Hotel. Coppins is a tribute to the original department that occupied the space, and the lobby decor reflects this heritage. We choose the restaurant for alfresco dining, and it was perfect - whether the weather is inviting or not. The dining room itself is a glass-enclosed room that opens unto a courtyard with fireplaces and a lawn, and it feels both elegant and rustic at the same time. The menu is small but covers a variety of foods that are familiar from my Southern childhood (fried chicken, shrimp and grits, black-eyed peas, and cornbread - and cocktails that are totally new. We were very happy with the quality of the food and the service (but we were there at a slow time). The experience was pleasant and the menu interesting enough that we plan to return soon.

Dear Judith R,
Thank you for your very kind review. We are delighted you found so many enjoyable spaces and menu items at Coppin's Restaurant & Bar. Our glass "jewel box" dining room is fantastic and very unique to the area. Of course, when the weather cooperates, nothing beats our outdoor patio area for al fresco dining under the stars. We look forward to welcoming you again soon.

Wow! My mom, aunt, fiancé, and I stopped here after our engagement photos. We started the evening off with some evening cocktails consisting of: beer, sangria, and I indulged in the Liquid Knowledge mixed drink! We began with the cheese board and oysters which were delightful! My fiancé and I shared the burger which was out of this world- might have been helped along by the bacon jam that was added! We substituted the fries for gator tots and was not disappointed! My mom had the shrimp and grits which was fantastic! My aunt had fried green tomatoes which was spectacular. We also shared the fried chicken with watermelon salsa which may seem weird, but is well worth the adventure! Absolutely delicious! The corn chowder was an amazing choice as well, very creamy with amazing flavor! The atmosphere is absolutely fantastic and very accommodating for large groups as well as couples and families. This is a must- do!
