We have stayed at this property many times over the years, when it was managed by Harrah's and recently. We've stayed around ten nights in the last few months, and have no complaints EXCEPT there is no fitness center on the property! My husband went out for a morning jog and was attacked by mosquitoes, so that is not a good option during the summer months. It would be great if they would turn one of the hotel rooms into a small gym for guests since they have no swimming pool, even one treadmill and bike with some free weights would be fine. He had to resort to walking the halls and stairs for exercise. The rooms are spacious and the beds very comfortable. We had one room that smelled a little bit like smoke, so they brought in a air purifier for a few hours. We could not be in the room while it ran, but they allowed us to leave our things in the room, which was nice. The rooms have a refrigerator, and coffee pot with nice flat screen televisions. There is a fine dining steakhouse, a snack bar with daily specials and tacos for 99 cents on Tuesdays, and a Subway in the adjacent gas station. There is also a nice golf course across the street, and a RV park behind the hotel. We will definitely stay again at this hotel.

Nice facility and husband said the golfing was good. There really isn't much else to do though. Staff is very nice and helpful, good service and food. Free wifi plus free coffee and soft drinks in the casino. You can get $25 in Prairie Cash if you sign up in their Players Club. Casino is pretty smoky.

We stayed there on a Thursday night. The room was clean and the rate was reasonable. The casino is big enough but not too big. We ate at the steakhouse. The food was good. The items are priced per item, nothing comes with your steak. That made our bill a little high. Had the whole evenings goal been dinner it wouldn't have been unreasonable but we were trying to keep some money for gambling. We ended up winning almost exactly what we had spent that night on room, food and drinks. So it was a free night of entertainment. I would go back. The staff is friendly, valet parking is free, room is decent. What more could you ask for a night away with your husband?

Room Tip: There is an old tower and a new one. The new one fills up first so book early, get there early and ask for it.

While visiting in Lawrence Kansas we made our rounds of the casinos. This one was very nice and clean. Sorry to say we did not leave here with any winnings. But we did enjoy playing the slots. We visit this location about twice a year.

Never stayed at a casino hotel before. Pretty darn nice. Very rural setting. Very clean and well maintained. All staff members very friendly and helpful. Our room was quite nice: quiet, very clean, great TV, well furnished, nice bathroom. We really didn't like the mattress, however--lumpy and noisy. Most pleasant surprise was the buffet dinner: very good quality food and lots of options. Can't comment on the gambling aspect as we're not much in to that. Ours was a golf package that was reasonably priced: $199 for the overnight stay and a round of golf (for the two of us).

Room Tip: Balcony but with obscured view because of trees or room without any balcony with nice view of the rural countryside.
