My friends and I ate here for lunch. Each of us had a different dish, and each thought it was absolutely worth repeating. First, the worst: one friend had the paella and although he thought it was very tasty, he believed it was woefully short of seafood for the $22 price tag. I had the octopus tacos, which were very tasty and came with a side of fries, which were also extremely good. The others had the stuffed fish and the sea bass. Both said they would absolutely order the same dish again. But perhaps, what really set this restaurant apart from others was the service. Our wait person greeted us with a smile and a friendly greeting. She was extremely attentive and took the time to speak with us.

(I finally found) a very good Mexican restaurant in Kansas City. The Seafood Paella is quite good with all of the noted seafood. The quality of both the rice and the seafood are quite good but the quantity of the rice far exceeds the quantity of the seafood. The order was take away so I will simply add some more shrimp and eat for days. The shrimp cocktail is as expected for a Mexican restaurant. The staff were quite friendly. The location and the building are nothing to brag about but the food is quite good. Next visit the lobster!

THIS IS THE PLACE. I almost hate to review it so positively, for fear that everyone will descend upon this tiny, charming location. But here goes: WOW. This is an absolute favorite. This bright blue concrete building sits almost on the corner of 7th and Kansas Ave in KCK. If you see the McDonalds or Crosslines, you're within shouting distance. You will see everyone here: families, dates, cops, firefighters, employees from KCK and the Legends, you-name-it. The place is no longer a "well kept secret", and it deserves to be out in the open. The servers are SO knowledgeable about each dish-- subtle attributes, flavor profile, etc. This is NOT a place for vegetarians, as the entire menu is fish. That said, this is the freshest fish in KC. They get rare items that you've never heard of... and that you just have to try. Many of their fish are fried whole, others are grilled, pan seared, and/or made into one of many ceviches. You don't have to be adventurous or knowledgeable to enjoy your meal here. Waitresses are welcoming and attentive, margaritas are affordable and tasty, and food can't be beat. Prices vary, depending on your dish. Check it out!

Chef Falcon is the "fresh fish whisperer." From the moment you enter the brightly painted building you are transported to Veracruz, Mexico. Don't expect enchiladas, taquitos and other typical Mexican food. Do expect delicious seafood. Seafood cocktails can include oysters, shrimp, scallops and many types of fish and are served in goblets that closely resemble mini aquariums. The daily specials can include whole fried fish such as red snapper, walleye and bronzino. The guacamole is freshly made and served with chips for a great appetizer. Beer and cocktails are available.
