Stayed at Sleep Inn in Hays KS for one night. Nice clean place with a very nice breakfast. Had scrambled eggs and sausage and good coffee. Great value motel, convenient to I-70 and places to eat. Staff was very freindly.

On our way to Colorado we stopped for the night at this hotel. Pleasantly surprised by how clean and quiet our room was! The hotel was booked solid and we did not hear a peep from any neighbors. We had a corner room with black out blinds, mini fridge, microwave, etc. Great customer service, as well.
The employee working the front desk went above and beyond to help someone who came in without a reservation to find a hotel room at a competitor across town. It's rare to see that level of customer service anywhere!
I would recommend this hotel!

4 floor Sleep Inn right off I-70...behind a Comfort Inn...walk less than a block to a Mexican Cantina (average) and Billy Sims BBQ (friends said was good)...WalMart across the highway...about 10 minutes from Fort Hays State University and downtown...I stayed Thursday-Sunday in a double room on the 4th floor...front desk staff were friendly...room was excellent with all the normal things...my room had 2 double beds with a sofa settee, chair and coffee table which was nice when a friend stopped by...TV had about 30 stations...shower/bath tub had a couple grab bars, shower head was good and 6’ high...indoor pool...they have a nice room for breakfast, good choices and the ladies are constantly checking on things...there was a wrestling tournament in town so a lot of families and kids staying there but that was no issue...everything in the hotel was clean...an Excellent hotel which I will stay at again...Highly Recommend.

This place was great! Where do I start? First they had the room ready, so we were able to check in before noon!!!!! I know that doesn't happen all the time, but I really needed a nap, so this was perfect for us. The room was clean; everything we saw was clean. The staff was so friendly. When we asked about favorite restaurants, they mentioned three and told us good things about each of them. We settled on Gella's and were not disappointed. The hotel breakfast offered a good selection and since we stayed two nights, we were treated to sausage and biscuits the first morning and ham, scrambled eggs, and breakfast potatoes the second morning - of course they had an ample selection of pastries, cereal, juices and my husband's favorite - waffles. They leave out cookies in the evening. This wasn't the least expensive place to stay, nor was it the most expensive place to stay, but it is where we will stay whenever we are in Hays, Kansas.

Great location just off I-70 but, not so close that you hear the traffic. Hotel is always clean, breakfast with good choices and well attended by staff. Easy check-in and out with friendly and helpful staff. Stayed here many times over the years and never a problem with anything. Best restaurants in Hays are found downtown. Just ask at the desk. Also, we are pet allergy people and this property is no pets allowed.

Room Tip: Choose rooms on the East side during the summer months
