We booked The Old Dairy reasonably last minute because we decided that rather than do our usual 8 hour drive with 2 small children to Cornwall, we would break the journey half way to give us (the parents) a more restful experience.
Despite our best laid plans to get to The Old Dairy by 8pm, we didn't arrive until 11pm. We had pre warned Liz that we were well behind schedule, and she stayed up late to welcome us and 2 very sleepy children. We were booked Into a ground floor room, and we were able to carry the sleepiest child straight into the room from the car to his bed.
The room was spacious, with a king size bed, super comfortable matress and pillows, and we had 2 camp beds set up for the children. The bathroom had a separate bath and shower, which was lovely.
At breakfast, Liz let our daughter help lay the table and put out the breakfast dishes onto the side board, which was very accommodating of her. We had a cooked breakfast which was expertly done, and our 6 year old wolfed his mini version down.
We left The Old Dairy wishing we could have stayed longer, which will undoubtedly mean that we will be back in the future.More
