A wonderful bed and breakfast experience! This impeccably clean and restored home was a wonderful place to stay in the quaint and friendly town of Shelby, Iowa. From the moment you step inside you feel surrounded by warmth and charm. The breakfast that Pat prepared for us was delicious. Thanks for the wonderful service and hospitality Pat and Tom, and we hope to visit again!
We stayed there last nite. Its a beautifully restored Victorian home. Our room was great. Also the food and hospitality was wonderful. The owners are very nice genuine people, we really enjoyed talking to them. I would highly recommend this B&B I would give it a A+A+A+ rating.
Pryor House is a lovely bed and breakfast. This was our second stay at this beautiful old house. It was a great location as we were touring some of the Loess Hills area and spending a day in Omaha (35 minutes by interstate). The room was comfortable and quiet, breakfast was yummy and Pat is a wonderful hostess. I would highly recommend it!

As we are close to our 1st anniversary I am thinking about our wonderful honeymoon stay at Pryor House. It was beautiful, historic and friendly. We enjoyed every minute including our adventure on the local trail. i hope we will return one day. Maybe for our 2nd anniversary. Thanks Pat and Tom.
My mother actually used to live in the old "Teacheridge" when she was a young teacher new to town. My father knocked on her door one day for coffee, and the rest is history. Growing up in Shelby, I saw that the building had become rundown and shabby. What the owners have done to restore this gorgeous home is truly remarkable. We stayed in Nancy's Nook, and it was beautifully decorated, very comfortable and cool, the wifi and cable were great, and though there was a handheld shower on the antique bath which I adored, when Pat took one look at my very tall 6'7" husband, she showed him the standup shower down the hall. :) Pat and Tom were very flexible with check-in and checkout times so we didn't have any stress, and it was lovely having them sit down with us after a filling breakfast to have some laughs. We'd love to come visit again. We felt right at home but also pampered to be able to relax is a great big comfy bed and in a beautifully decorated and clean home.
