I am not normally a fan of wines from the Midwest... they are too sweet for me. We stopped in though as a couple of the members of our group had been before and we had some time to kill before we needed to be at the next stop on our Brew Pub Tour.

We waited outside for them to open... which they did promptly at 10:00! The staff was very helpful as we worked our way through samples... most were too sweet, but I did find a couple options that made a great holiday party concoction with mulling spices. I also found a white (Outstanding White) that I found very refreshing. I walked in with low expectations and walked out with a box full of wine!

Our bus, with 29 Norwegian tourists, from Minot, North Dakota to Nashville, Tennessee, made a stop om Oct. 3rd to taste some local wine. Our experience exceeded our expectations by far! The friendly blond girl behind the bar told us that we had to go to Pete's Peak, and when I uttered some doubt because lack of time, she left the bar, went out to the bus and convinced the driver we had to go there. So we went to Pete's Peak and all of us were very excited. So on our trip next autumn, we shall visit Pete's Peak, and of course Eagles Landing Winery!

My son and I were in the area hiking for the weekend. After a long day of hiking we stopped in for a wine tasting. The women working that Saturday were dressed in Halloween costumes were friendly, fun and offered great service. We ended up buying five bottles of wine and two Halloween cookies. We will definitely be back next spring when we return for our annual backpacking trip.
