We made the trip from central Iowa to check this place out and it was worth every mile. The pork chop was the best one I've ever had anywhere with a really interesting combination of flavors and textures from the cabbage butter sauce and the strings of fried yam on top. And the fried chicken--you don't put fried chicken on a menu unless you have really mastered it and they have. A really generous portion, and perfectly prepared. Maybe we should be glad it's all the way over in Dubuque, or we'd end up there far too frequently. Atmosphere was lively, but they didn't put the tables so close together that you couldn't hear.
