Scrambling up to the spring's source requires some effort and careful placement of the feet. It's fun, though, and the water is icy cold on a hot day. The kids had fun building dams across the stream. Lovely setting, great for picnics.

I took a picture of the springs that is so beautiful I use it as a screen saver. Has an "otherworldly" feel to it.

Dunnings Spring is a must see for any visitor to Decorah. A natural spring runs out of the hillside year round and down a steep hill making an almost waterfall =) Once the site of a grist mill, it is now a favorite city park. Great place to sit & cool off during the summer!

Great place to take a packed lunch. Hiking trail. Nice photo opp. Ice Cave (not much of a cave but rather a small entry into a limestone bluff) just up the road.

cute little area to picnic or hike - not very enjoyable in March- Im sure it's much prettier and enjoyable in the Mid Springtime.
