Hospitality and welcome like you're family

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 25 Jan 2021via mobile
Firstly, make sure you stay here as a definite stopover on the GV Rail Trail, or if you are going anywhere within 200km of it. Rooms and bathroom scrupulously clean and comfortable. If you are really fortunate, have drinks in the outdoor gardens, and then let Judith cook you a delicious meal, a hybrid of home cooking and restaurant quality. We loved the privilege of this experience and are busily looking for any excuse to return.

On our return cycling journey from Seymour to Mansfield , we stopped at this accommodation. Although the kitchen was supposed to be closed on Tuesday, Judy, the host, served us extremely home cooked dinner and breakfast. The meals were fabulous, especially the pasta with crusty skin pork belly and the lamb shanks. The place was very cosy and unique and the room , clean and comfortable

What more could I write? Absolutely top hostess, Judi, who went above and beyond for us and gave us so many positive memories. Food and drink .... fabulous. Room.... more than adequate and comfortable.

Would definitely recommend a stop here

    Thank you

3 mates and I stopped here while riding the Great Victorian Rail trail. Four clean comfortable motel rooms with a neat mid-century modern vibe. Brick walls in between the rooms so no noise from the neighbors. Good split system heat and AC. Not the Four Seasons, but clean and comfortable and owner Judi is very attentive and working on them

Great place for a stop overnight with comfortable rooms and a superb host in Judy.
Can recommend the lamb shank and mash with a glass or two of the local Antcliff’s Chase shiraz.
We also chose the optional extra of a cooked breakfast which was very good value. (And very good scrambled eggs too)

Sunday, we stopped on a whim for a quick lunch, a great choice of Mushroom Pie with roast veggies, and beef burgundy pie chips and salad, it was fresh and very tasty. Looking at the menu board plenty of variety. Well with a visit. Going to try the ploughman lunch next time. The cakes were all homemade and all very appealing, we took a couple of slices for our journey.
