If you like antiques or vintage styled things, this a worthwhile stop. Just two rooms, so not a long stop, but very well done. I have a single antique fan, so wanted to stop here while on a roadtrip. We only had an hour - I could have browsed a bit longer. Never would have guessed there have been so many different types of fans with so many unique designs. And believe it or not - it's free! Hosted by a modern fan company, simply because the owner is interested, with fans on display from private collectors. They also have a fan restoration workshop on the site (though not necessarily open to guests). You go in through the company's front door and ask at the reception desk. The displays are bright and well-lit. See the picture above - that's exactly how it is.

Fun little museum to check out if you're a "FAN" of fans, design, ideas, history and/or unique collections! The Fanimation team is friendly and while the museum is packed with tons of interesting specimens the room itself is not too big, easy to get around and you can spend a long visit or see it quickly, easy in/out.

The Antique Fan Museum at Fanimation was really interesting. You get to see original designs, different control features, and well worth the stop. Tom Frampton is an avid antique fan collector and there must have been hundreds (600) of fans from all over the world. We enjoyed looking at the antique advertising style hand fans. There isn't any fee to enter and you go at your own pace.

Went with a group of ladies to visit the Fanimation Antique Fan Museum. Knew nothing about it ahead of time, except for seeing the flyer and looking at their website. The owner, Tom, gave us a tour and showed us so many interesting fans and
Explained how fans have evolved over the centuries. Two floors of fans back to the 19th century....pedal powered, gas powered, alcohol powered, electric powered...they have it all! Fans from Taiwan, The Czech Republic, England, USA, India, hotels, trains, etc. So much to see and learn about!

I took the grand kids here and they loved looking at the various exhibits. They had so much fun and didn't want to leave. For me, well, I saw my own toys as a child in the glass cases. What???
