This was the information that we have desires for many years in understand the Amish, Hutterites and Mennonite culture.
Very well presented without being hurried through.
Extremely interesting and educational.

We spent two hours learning so much about the Mennonites, Hutterites and Amish. This museum is very well done. We felt we couldn't just come to the area for the shops and flea market. We needed to learn the history of how the area came to be, and we are very glad we did.

Nestled it the midst of the numerous tourist traps in Indiana Amish Country is this real gem. Menno-Hof is a non-profit, non-commercial information center operated by and for Amish, Amish Mennonite, Conservative Mennonite and the Mennonite Church of the United States. It was created partly to bridge the gap between a private people and the gawking curious hoards of the "outside world", and to provide accurate information about the Amish, the Mennonites and the Hutterites.
The exhibition is personal and comprehensive. A personal guide takes you through the audio-visual introduction and another through the same at the conclusion, but you are left on your own to explore numerous detailed displays in the middle.
You'll discover a movement born in 1525 that has evolved and splintered, but has remained true to faith and theology. Today these movements span the world as the community is alive in 66 countries.
I've gained a much better and clearer understanding of these stoic and sincere people. The one and one half hour I spent at Menno-Hof will stay with me, and has exponentially enhanced my experience of Shipshawana and the region.
Pay particular attention to the noble and courageous work with the mentally ill and disaster relief. An absolute must see!

The tour and the museum exhibits are very interesting. Informs visitors in detail about the difference between Mennonites, Hutterites and Amish. Make sure to take time to listen and learn.

We had a great experience with interactions with the docents here. They were informative and helpful and made sure we saw all that we wanted to see before they closed for the night. My daughter loves learning so this is right up her ally (she is 8). The tornado room was one of our favorites and the replica of the inside of an Amish home was another favorite.
