On a recent trip to Indianapolis to attend the funeral of an old friend my wife and I joined a large group of family members and friends of the deceased for a dinner at Buca di Beppo following the funeral service. We had never eaten at a Buca di Beppo before and found the food to be quite tasty. We actually didn't have a choice in ordering the dishes for our party since that had been prearranged. What we had, however, was good and included two different salads, cheese-stuffed ravioli, chicken parmegiana, and two desserts: cheesecake and tiramisu. The wine list was limited but actually quit good: For those at our long table we ordered an Allegrini Palazzo de la Torre blend from Verona, Italy, and also a Joel Gott Cabernet Sauvignon from California.

Family style-$24PP even for the small kids. No discount for under 10. We were in a large group of 35ish and seated elbow to elbow ...stuffed in. Waitress offer kids only lemonade or Sierra Mist “to make life easy for her” and because of the caffeine (who asked her). No meat in sauce and a tiny chicken breast with cheese on it and we were sure to be told “priced out one per person”. Considering the waitress didn’t have to take any orders....she made easy money on us. This chain WILL NEVER see me again. TOTAL RIP OFF.

Not your usual kind of Italian restaurant. Huge servings, more for families. Felt more like an outsider in this restaurant and not very comfortable.

My husband and I went for lunch and the restaurant was not busy. We were seated immediately. The eggplant parmigiana was a bit tough and had very little breading. The marinara sauce was plentiful and tasty, but very watery. The Italian flatbread sandwich was very good, but it was served with almost raw French fries that tasted as it they were just thawed but not cooked. Our salad never came, and we weren't brought any bread. Service was very poor. The worst part was when the waitress apologized for the service, telling us she was sick, and had a bloody nose! Yikes!! We're just hoping we don't come down with whatever she brought to work with her, and most likely to our plates and glasses.

We had Linguine Frutti di Mare and Chicken Parmigiana. We topped of dinner with a Colossal Brownie Sundae. The service was a little slow. Their bread is great. We left with leftovers. Yum Yum.
