It is s beautiful place to spend the day relaxing and enjoying fine wine and delicious homemade food. Our restaurant uses fresh herbs and edible flowers to create unique gourmet meals. The winery features over eighteen varieties of handcrafted wines, ranging from bold, dry reds to sweet fruit wines. There are several garden areas to stroll through and many peaceful areas to relax. Two couples met at the Stream Cliff Winery for a gentle day of relaxation and touring. Stream Cliff, a bit out-of-the-way, was an ideal, low-key place to mutually meet, tour, dine and generally enjoy the day. Neither couple had been to Stream Cliff before, so we were not quite sure what to expect.
What we found was a rustic setting with a very accomplished staff. It is one of those places where the more you wonder about, the more you want to wonder about. We did the wine tastings, wondered through the herb garden, the fan gardens, the small antique shop, the general store and settled into for lunch at the tea room. Lunch was far more than we anticipated. The quality of the servings was outstanding. The blackberry cobbler for dessert is not to be missed. Our waitress, Jamie, was knowledgeable, attentive and humorous.

We have visited this farm/winery twice and have had good experiences both times. The food in the restaurant is really good and you can have have a nice glass of wine with your lunch or not, as you wish. The food is fresh and there seems to be something for everyone. There is so much to see after lunch...many great plants in the garden shop area, antiques and other fun things in the little shops around the property, and wine in the tasting room. Although they do not grow their own grapes, they do make their own wine. We spent some time talking to one of the men there and we found out a lot about their wines as we tried a couple of samples. The sampling is not as formal as it is in some of the bigger wineries which is nice. We were there later in the day at a time that we could take time to talk to people. We went there from a Clifty Falls State Park stay, about a 25 minute drive. It was a nice change and we would come here again if we were in the area. It really is easy to get to and you can actually see it off State Route 3 in southern Indiana. It is on one of the Indiana Wine Trails so if you are doing this, you should definitely go! Even if you are not, go!

This is a perfect day trip on a Sunday afternoon . We came for lunch and music and this place was busy . There are no big signs on the highway so you either know about it or read about it somewhere . A over flowing parking lot into the grass but there was plenty of room . Barbecue , chicken salad , garden salad , and a fruit and cheese plate was on the short menu in the barn with the entertainment . A great country setting with friendly people everywhere . We couldn't help but walk the beautiful grounds with all the flowers , herbs and gardens everywhere . The gift shops , greenhouse and winery were just excellent in my opinion . Now I am a daily wine drinker so I'm not into the sweeter desert wines so the Spotted Horse is what we chose to go with our lunch . I have to admit we tried many wines and I bought the Moscato to come home with us and that is one I normally wouldn't buy . In the end we purchased 6 bottles all together to remember such a wonderful afternoon . I know we are making plans to return already in a few weeks before the fall . If you enjoy beautiful flowers and gardens along with your wine then you will be very pleased here . I don't give many places a top rating unless they truly deserve it . This place does . Just don't be in a hurry and enjoy everything around you .

A friend & I went as part of the Indiana Wine Trail. It was a Wednesday afternoon & as we drove up we were excited because the grounds really were beautiful. We didn't see any other customers so we were even more excited, thinking that we would get a really personal experience. That was far from what happened. Even after telling the tasting server that it was our first time there, she offered absolutely no information about the business or the wines. She just stood behind the counter expressionless and poured wines with not even an attempt at making conversation. It was very awkward & uncomfortable & like no tasting I've ever done before. We were in & out of there in 10-15 minutes. Very disappointing.

This place has it all. The Winery serves up some very tasty wines. The restaurant has fabulous fresh food. The Garden Shop has beautiful herbs and plants. The grounds are so welcoming. Grab a glass of wine and just wander around, or, find a seat in the gardens and just watch the world go by.
