We sat at the bar. Each of us ordered something different. The food was quite good, and we were treated very well. Experience was great.

Great atmosphere and lots of craft beers to choose from here. Not fancy, cement floor and wooden booths but great for families. Fried pickles were awesome but we were disappointed that tater tots had left the menu. Burgers done perfect and a happy time with family and little children.
We came in the middle of the afternoon so it wasn't very busy. Hannah was our bartender/server. She is great! Very personable and nice. Food was just so so.
Probably won't be rushing back!
My boyfriend and I fell in love with this place when we first moved to Indiana 2 years ago - we literally would come to Scotty's 2x a week (sometimes even more!).
Ever since they started growing outside of the immediate Indianapolis area, they began cutting our favorite menu items and their beer selection has gone way down hill - strange since they call themselves a "brew house".
Some specifics. at the Brownsburg location the beer menu has been the same for 3 months now, they used to rotate it at least once a month. They used to have about 5 different rotating daily drafts, many of these were really fantastic out there beers. The beer menu still directs you to check this draft list out, but we have not seen this list in months.
All of the menu items have increased in price be $0.50 to a $1, not a huge deal, but when the prices were already in the higher side of things it definitely has an impact on the bill. Various food items that made this place really interesting have been removed from the menu with every new revision, like the ground bacon burger, chicken club, build your own salad checklist. Speaking of salads they removed chickpeas and even oil and vinegar from their list of optional toppings. They also removed the snack menu which was a fun addition to our meals.
Overall sense this place started to expand over the last 2 years we get the sense that they have been trying to streamline and cheapen their menu, shaving cost in ingredients, variety, and sometimes quality where they can. Together with a price bump.
All of this factors into this place going from our "go to spot" to maybe a 1-2 times a month spot. Which sucks because we live about 2 min away.
We don't want to damage the brand - just get notice from management.
Don't let the nice building and inside fool you. This place needs a major league change in food service. First, its slow getting from the kitchen to the table. I mean real slow. Small portions for the big price. Kitchen doesn't even serve the burgers like the description in the menu. Got a plain burger with some bacon and cheese and nothing else. Even questioned the server about it. Mac and cheese order is real small. Kids portion size. Wings-- way over priced for quantity. It did not help that we had to send our wings back as blood was rolling out of them near the bone. Lettuce salad was good but small for the big price. Service was good. Clean. Nice setting. Close parking. Just get a beer and forget the food. We won't be coming back.
