Invited here for a private work event. The mansion itself is beautiful. Roped off rooms but could view the amazing period antiques. Inside event during the winter, so unable to see the grounds or gardens. Seemed like it would be a pretty place in the summer or for a wedding.

The Cuneo Foundation donated this wonderful Great Gatsby Roaring 20s attraction to Loyola University. In July of 2015, I asked them by phone why no one posted on their website that they were "closed for renovations". "Good idea" was the reply. Next I read in the Chicago Trib that Loyola wants to build a 100+ home subdivision. If they ever open again, get over there fast to see a great venue. Based on the article, I don't trust Loyola's administration to do anything but try to squeeze money out of this gift. Sorry good fathers and I'm a Catholic. I asked my daughter, a citizen of Vernon Hills to write the mayor and oppose this subdivision. "They cut down paradise and put up a parking lot" from Yellow Taxi by Joni Mitchell.

I was bummed. We could not get on to the grounds because it was closed for a private party.

The website is a general website to Lake County and this location is not listed.

it was a magical wedding reception at this venue. Could not have been more perfect or beautiful. The staff was tremendous and helpful, the food was spectacular, just an overall perfect evening

Creep through this tired exhibit in a VERY LONG long line of cars. Remember, you will only be able to go as fast as the SLOWEST car in line, some of them take a gazillion pictures of each feature. There is no easy out if you change your mind. Decorations are mostly cartoon characters like the Flinstones, or Disney characters with lights. No craftsmanship, no attention to detail, and lights are haphazardly draped on trees. A LOT of lights, a LOT of wooden stand-up figures. Save your money and time and skip this attraction. Our international guests were not impressed. Sorry Cuneo, I expected better.
