My wife and I had eaten at the location in China Town many years ago. We were excited to learn that they had opened up a location in Tinley Park. We went there with the family and weren't disappointed. The location is convenient to interstate 80 and the convention center. It is in the corner of a strip mall and minimally decorated. None of this takes away from the dinning experience.
One of the things that we remembered from our original dining experience was the variety of fruit drinks they serve. The menu, which contains pictures of virtually everything they serve, has an impressive fruit drink list. We ordered the watermelon popping boba, the watermelon Sprite, and the mango popping boba. The watermelon Sprite was basically Sprite with chopped up watermelons. I would skip that item. The two other drinks were really good and worth the money. Both had tapioca pearls in the drink. I found them to be delicious. Some may be put off by the texture.
The restaurant serves "Asian" food. There are Chinese, Korean and Thai items on the menu. My ten year old had the lemon grass chicken as an entree and I will let her describe it:
It was sort of like regular chicken wings, but what made them so good and original was the hint of lemongrass.
Everyone enjoyed them. The favorite was the Pad See Ew. I would recommend it. I enjoyed the Mongolian Beef. My father-in-law, who is elderly, ordered it. He did not enjoy it as much. It was rather spicy. I would recommend it if you like spicy food. We tried one last Stone bowl rice dish. The scallop meat sauce rice dish was very good. I would recommend it if but only if you like the flavor of star anise or licorice. That is not a flavor I like but I enjoyed the dish nonetheless.
Overall, it was an enjoyable dining experience.
