“Excellent hotel, Excellent price”

This hotel was wonderful. We stayed there in October for less than $100 a night on the weekend. There was a full breakfast in the morning, and some type of free snack at the front desk throughout the day. The rooms were very clean, and there were enough restaurant options nearby if you didn't want to go all the way back into Chicago. The hotel also offers free shuttle to the airport, and if you need to go to the subway, they'll drive you straight to it. The only downside is that it is about 1 1/2 hour subway ride into downtown, we actually ended up driving in and just paying for parking after the first day.

Stayed at the Hampton on a baseball weekend trip to Wrigley Field and Miller Park. Hotel is very clean and comfy. Rooms had the refreshed upscale Hampton look. A/C worked great. Hotel is just 5 mins from O'Hare and right near all the major interstate highways leading to downtown Chicago and up to Milwaukee. Comp Breakfast was pretty good and well stocked. Breakfast staff was very helpful.

While the hotel is close to the airport, I have to say we were never disturbed by jet noise.

Only knock I can give to this place is parking. The parking is free, but, the lot was frequently overflowing, had to get creative a few times and make use of some unmarked spaces.

Good place, good value....Home Run for our baseball trip!

A friend and I spent 8 Days/ 7 Nights in Chicago specifically to catch baseball games, we went to Wrigley, Miller Park, US Cellular and Busch Stadium in 4 consecutive days. This Hampton Inn was our home base and it served its purpose very well. We wanted a hotel close to the airport, it's about a 10 minute shuttle ride from O'Hare. The rooms were clean, the AC worked great, the bathrooms were clean, TV worked fine, free USA Today, Internet access was included and the breakfast was fantastic (also included in the price, there were eggs/omlets, home fries, bacon/sausage, waffles, Danish, muffins, rice, sushi, juice, yogurt, fresh fruit, cereal, bagels, English muffins, toast and more. I have to say this hotel had the best coffee I have ever drank in my life, and it's out in the lobby available 24/7. They even put out special cookies and brownies some nights. The beds were extremely comfortable, the type your body sinks into, and the pillows were great also. I gave you the pros, there are a few small cons... The hotel is located in an industrial area, the only thing within walking distance is a small convenience store, a subway sandwich shop and a Dunkin Donuts, there is nothing else close and the hotel does not have lounge or bar if you want to grab a drink or a meal (besides a good breakfast). I had family that was able to take me all around the city, to the games and everywhere else I wanted to go, if I didn't have that I would probably have spent an extra $200+ in cab fare for the week, which would have been reasonable to me. My friend and I like to smoke so we would take strolls in the area and were not bothered at all, because there is nothing around the hotel. One other thing was there was no ventilation in the bathroom, and the windows dont open, this seems to be a common thing in hotels these days, so if you go to the bathroom, it will linger for a while. We bought a candle the second day and it really seemed to help, do yourself a favor and pick up a candle and a can of Lysol, or you wish you had.
There is a pool and a small workout room, we used both and they were both great. He pool is clean and the they had cardio machines and dumbells up to 50 lbs. this hotel served its purpose perfectly for what we needed it for, people that want to spend time downtown might want to spend more money on a hotel closer to the action, because your going to be taking cabs a lot. I don't care what anyone says, the sounds of the planes are minimal, they did nothing to hinder our sleep. This is a good solid hotel that was very inexpensive, comfortable and close to the airport, I give it a solid 8 out of 10.
PS they did have a little shop in the lobby that sold snacks, alcohol, drinks and other things, we never used it, but it was there.

Will keep this simple. Excellent Airport hotel but not good for Business Traveler needing decent internet speed. They have it locked at 500K. Aside from that it is terrific for O'hare airport option.

Room Tip: if you are ok with a 500K internet connection, it is a great aiport/hotel. very nice staff.
