“Home from home”
Reviewed 21 November 2013 for a stay in November 2013

Had a wonderful stay last weekend at Norman House with 4 friends who wanted to escape London and enjoy some time together. Norman House was perfect for us - the kitchen is very well equipped so we stayed in one evening and had dinner and wine in front of the TV. The house was lovely and cosy, we had wanted to use the log burner in the lounge but it didn't seem cold enough to justify it. On Friday night we walked down to the local pub which is literally a 5 minute walk and had a really good food menu and wine list ( sensing a theme here?). We were dubious about it when we drove past as we saw it was part of a chain pub but actually felt like a proper country pub and definitly worth a visit.
We drove into Bath one day, had planned to walk along the canal but it was a bit too wet and windy. Driving in was very easy and found it easy to find parking both around the house and in Bath itself.
One word of advice - if you follow a sat nav the suggested route will take you over a toll bridge ( 70p!) which means the traffic backs up a bit and it's probably a bit easier and quicker to go further along the road into Bath and then almost double back to avoid the bridge ( although if you aren't in a hurry it's very scenic).
Would definitly recomend Norman House to friends and hope we'll find a reason to be back.

“FANTASTIC Home rental!!! Blew our minds!!”
Reviewed 20 May 2013 for a stay in May 2013

This Home rental was most probably the best idea my friend had come up with. We went and stayed two nights over the weekend for our friends birthday. There was four of us in total but there was enough room for 6 of us.

The house was immaculate and the Home Manager was so helpful and kind. He made our stay really special. Even coming by to help us when us ladies were confused about the fire alarms.

Each room was beautiful. The garden was stunning and secluded. There were towels for each of us in our rooms and more in the bathroom. We had everything we could ever need and everything felt like the best quality.

My favourite room was the Kitchen. My friend and I decided to bake a cake and were a little worried about bringing utensils, as we were not sure what would be availiable, we neednt of worried as the Kitchen was stocked and we had everything we needed including the most stunning vintage scale that we couldnt bring ourselves to use.

The whole house was a great mixture of vintage and modern decoration. The bathroom is proof of this. The Bath is a beautiful vintage style with the feet. Which is my own kyrptonite of home decor. My friend and I shared the smaller double bed and it was so comfortable. I literally sunk into it.

We all had a fantastic time.

Taxis into town are around £10 and if you drive there its 5 mins if that and theres plenty of parking in town too.

Pick up place for key access was easily accessable and kind of made me feel like 007.

Location is on the hill so when driving to Norman House from Town you saw the brilliant views of Bath.

The only issue I personally had was the internet where we couldn't connect no matter what we tried but it honestly wasn't a big issue at all and I soon forgot about the need to get online as we had such a great time. By Sunday I was so comfortable I didn't want to leave.

If you are confused about where to stay please do not miss out on going here! It literally was the most fantastic weekend at a stunning location in the most beautiful house. We all fell inlove with Norman House and I don't think anyone of us really wanted to leave.

I will deffinately come back again.
