We love barbecued baby back ribs. But they're so messy that we usually order delivery rather than go to a restaurant. And we never considering ordering ribs at Chili's, in Chicago or Sarasota or anywhere else among their 1,600 worldwide locations, because we always thought their Tex-Mex style cuisine was more focused on enchiladas and quesadillas and chili and chips and salsa and spicy wings and guacamole and Cajun shrimp and chicken pasta. But at a recent visit with friends to the Chili's location at 7140 Mannheim Road in Rosemont we were persuaded to order the BBQ baby back ribs. In fact, we ordered two full slabs and requested lots of napkins. Before the ribs arrived, we started with chips and salsa, boneless wings and Southwest eggrolls and Texas cheese fries. The ribs, with Chili's tangy sauce, were tender and delicious. They literally dropped off the bone. I only wasted three napkins. For dessert, we shared three slices of Oreo topped Molten cake. Chili's menu has a lot to offer--and that includes ribs.
