Q would be my choice for a last meal. Having migrated south from Wisconsin many years ago, I grew to love good KC/Memphis/Georgia style meats and sauces (OK...the sweet stuff). A recent visit to Oak Park presented my wife and me opportunities for just about any kind of food, but I was looking for BBQ and found Q-BBQ. Q-BBQ is a clean, family friendly place and the young lady who greeted us could not have been nicer or more helpful. There were many choices, and I was leaning to brisket when I noticed that they had burnt ends with cornbread, beans and hushpuppies. The cornbread was too sweet for my taste, but as a whole, the meal was very tasty. To me, the sign of great BBQ is when you can eat it with no sauce, and these burnt ends did not need any. If you do want sauce, there are more kinds to choose from than in most places (including Carolina). The servings were generous, and the prices more than reasonable. I wish there was a Q-BBQ in my area!

Had a pulled pork sandwich here recently. I thought it was pretty good. The sauces aren't that great, but decent. I got a side of coleslaw, and that was quite tasty. Overall, a decent meal at a decent price and I would stop by again.

Our waiter was an older gentleman who just made the day. He was so helpful in guiding us to the right order and helping us understand the options. We loved talking with him - he loves the city he lives in. We thought our ribs (and my burnt ends) were amazing and the sides were terrific too. I don't think you can go wrong with any order here. On a nice day, eat outside and enjoy the quiet, old-fashioned neighborhood. It's a short hop on the L from anywhere. Just check it out. Great for food after a tour at Frank Lloyd Wright's home.

I want to say up front, I am not a great BBQ fan, but this was good. It is a tangy taste in its sauce, but not hot. I had the Pulled Pork sandwich and was just right.

The meats are good, but the sauces, not so much. The sweet bque is cloyingly sweet, the spicy sauce made my eyes water. I didn't try the vinegar sauce, not a big vinegar fan. The creamy coleslaw is fresh. Tastes fresh but it is not creamy more fresh and chunky. I have been to other bque places, this one happened to be close to our house, but I won't be going there anytime soon.
