“Super house in a super location”
Reviewed 18 April 2016 for a stay in April 2016

Tarn House was a great base from which to explore the South Lakes. Attention to detail in the house was appreciated - well appointed kitchen, toys and books for little ones and even logs and paper were provided for the log-burner. The hints and tips in the visitor book proved very useful e.g. laminated maps and insider information about local eateries. The deep baths were a hit with all the family and we also loved the garden with a view. Hard to fault such a lovely place - hope we'll be back some time.

“Superb accomations!”
Reviewed 23 September 2015 for a stay in September 2015

Spent 2 wonderful weeks at Tarn House with family and friends! House was exactly as advertised and exceeded our expectations. Very spacious, clean, well appointed and very comfortable. The owner Dave was a pleasure to deal with. The home has everything you need for a pleasurable stay. Well appointed kitchen for making meals, nice size bath rooms with stall showers and baths. Beds are comfy, living/dining area is perfect for a large group (there were 7 of us). Location was excellent for traveling to near by towns. I can highly recommend this home for holiday rental it will not disappoint!

“Well equipped house with home comforts in good location”

Much thought has gone into what is provided here for comfort and entertainment. The kitchen is particularly well stocked with baking and cooking utensils in addition to ample crockery and cutlery - although a few more teaspoons would have been good to have!

“Very special property in fabulous location”
Reviewed 20 July 2015 for a stay in July 2015

The seven of us all truly loved Tarn House. Loads of space. Gorgeous garden with stunning views. Very well equipped kitchen. Super bathrooms. Loved having the wood burner on in the evenings and having more than enough eating and sofa space for us to all be together. Close to local amenities but not too close to feel "Bowness" touristy. Loughrigg Tarn really is five minutes walk and great for swimming and picnics. The lovely Langdales are ten minutes drive. We climbed Loughrigg straight from the house. Keswick is about forty minutes away. This really is a very special house and we were terribly sad to leave. Hope very much to return in the not too distant future.

“Well-equipped Spacious House”
Reviewed 3 June 2015 for a stay in May 2015

Lovely house for a large group. All rooms are large. It is well-equipped even having lots of toys for our 1 and 3 year-olds. The garden is lovely facing west and having a super view. NB there are lots of steps up to the garden. The location is super. Lots of walks from the house including to Loughrigg Tarn and Fell
